hey you found me! I’m Tirzah. TEAR-zah.
me (pronoun): a sweet & shape shifting darkness that you can touch <3
“God topples from the sky, hell’s fires fade
Exit seraphim and Satan’s men
I shut my eyes and the world drops dead.”
reserved extrovert, little fucking weirdo, Acid Bath disciple, your friendly neighborhood snake charmer
jewelry-making, ceramics, collage, book-binding, painting, drawing, reading, writing, researching, polaroids with my vintage cameras (peep the photo that led you here), making gifs (thank you Photomosh!), fuckin tinkering, just teaching myself what sparks interest and what i can get my hands on. any combining of all these things. always more to come. these, and more, are my creative pleasures, and therefore my joys. i mess around and see what i can come up with, then i share and revel in what good can emerge.
heavy metal rocker punk goth chimera, but can’t stop there, almost all music is a vibe 2 me. gimme Beethoven, gimme Massive Attack, gimme Burning Spear, gimme house, outlaw country, old school hip-hop & rap, black metal, and lots, lots more.
i enjoy: long walks on the beach with someone, dusty tomes, sifting, bizarre things, perplexing things, beautiful things, lip gloss, the duality of man, X-Files, bats, flowers, coffeeeeeee, cedar incense, collecting junk in the name of “art”, collecting art in the name of “junk”, things that make you go “hmmm”, things that make you go “aha!”, la bella luna, fresh & cold vegetables + frozen fruit on hot summer days, sparkling wine, going to a bookstore for the first time and finding it disappeared entirely upon the second return (was it ever even there? you still have the books you bought though), mossy graveyards forgotten by time, Kafka’s wisdom, candles, spliffs, scaling buildings, jumping up and down, vibrating on the physical plane, boogying on the metaphysical plane (iykyk), birdsong, sunlight, rainbows on the ceiling, getting to the gig, getting “down with it”, gritty graffitied land/cityscapes, losing hours in vintage stores, vaulting my gd smartphone into the ocean and listening to a CD on a CD player (gasp!), popsicles, spending time with animals, and spending time with people i love.
don’t we all?i do not enjoy: dirty city snow, squeaky boots, getting up to pee in the middle of the night, intensely mourning the loss of trees and ecosystems, sitting on something cold, stepping in something wet, The Overhead Light, weirdos in a bad way, mean girls, overcooked vegetables, taxes, places that are impossible to find but google maps insists upon arrival, my name misspelled as Trisha (as if, and no offense to Trishas), loud people in libraries, being pigeon-holed, knowing who i am and having someone tell me i’m not that (sit down), standing on a stool to reach things, candles that burn lopsidedly and go out too soon, scented laundry detergent, people who are rude to service staff, minimalism, beige, having to replace batteries in things, water that tastes off, drawers that won’t close.
thank you for reading….
