Frequently Asked Questions

  • SHIPPING & PICKUP

Shipping: once I have your order, I will ship it within 2-4 business days via USPS. A tracking number will always be provided.

Local Pickup (Greater Boston Area): according to the pickup terms that are provided during check-out, we will decide on where and when to meet. I require 2 hours notice for any changes in pickup time, cancellations & reschedules. There is no fee required for local pickup within the stated terms.

Local Delivery: I will deliver within certain Greater Boston area zipcodes for a $10 fee.

  • PRICING

Pricing my work fairly is very important to me. I do my best to strike a balance between paying myself, and pricing pieces in a way that isn’t prohibitive to the lovely folks who support me.

A number of variables are factored into pricing. These variables include materials cost, active time spent making a piece, a quite modest base wage for myself, and other upfront costs (such as this website, the sales commission it takes, packaging purchased for shipping, etc).

  • WHAT DO YOU MEAN BY ETHICALLY SOURCED BONES?

By ethically sourced, I mean that animals were not harmed or killed in the acquisition of the bones that I make jewelry out of. I will not use bones and animal-derived components from sellers who either directly or indirectly harm animals to acquire their parts. In the future, that may change the bone jewelry I have available - based on whether my current or future sources remain ethical.

  • CUSTOM WORK & COMMISSIONS

As of May 2025, I am not taking any custom jewelry work or commissions. I’ll be happy to update this page and my social media pages when that changes.

  • DO YOU SELL ANYWHERE ELSE?

Yes! I sell jewelry at plenty of in-person events, artist markets, and DJ nights around the Greater Boston Area. In addition to jewelry, I usually sell punk/metal/vintage buttons & enamel pins, secondhand and vintage accessories & trinkets, handmade artwork, and other treasures.

For now, please follow my Instagram to keep track of which events I’ll be at.

Coming soon to this website: a monthly list of upcoming markets and events where you’ll be able to find me.

If you’d like me to table at your event, please reach out to me via my Contact Page, or via Instagram!

  • WHERE DO YOU GET MATERIALS?

My materials come from a number of different places. I love repurposing jewelry and materials from thrift stores, recycling centers and antique shops. I do the same with bulk jewelry that friends and relatives will give me, purpose being that I take that jewelry apart and reuse it (I don’t take apart jewelry that’s gifted to me, don’t worry!!)

I get some stuff from Etsy from small biz owners who make and/or sell art & jewelry supplies, their own brass stampings/welded rings/silver components, thrifted & vintage materials, etc. I do hope to become more self-sufficient in this area in the future (in regard to making my own stampings & components).

I ensure the hypoallergenic quality of the findings I use by getting them from Artist & Craftsman Supply, Beadalon, and occasionally from Michael’s and Blick.

The way in which I get my materials does can sometimes affect pricing. Example being that if someone were to give me a bag of jewelry that they no longer wanted, to do with what I wished, I would not factor materials cost into a finished piece using that repurposed jewelry, in the same way I would for something else.

I get a lot of joy and contentment from using thrifted, vintage and repurposed jewelry components in my work. The act of sourcing it, taking it apart, and then figuring out the coolest ways to use it with components I already possess - the entire process is an enjoyable one for me. It’s also what gives each item I sell its unique nature. Finally, doing so supports local economies & the small businesses that I purchase from :)

  • RESERVATIONS & PAYMENT PLANS

If you see something that you love and would really like to lock it down, but can’t do it all up front - let’s talk! This is a judgement-free zone. Message me on Instagram, or email me at sineaterworks@gmail.com.
Let me know the item’s name (ex: Twilight’s Kiss Earrings) in the body of the email.

✶ A deposit is required to reserve. Deposits go directly to an item’s overall cost.
    Deposit options are as follows:
    ✶✶ 25% of the item’s cost
    ✶✶ 50% of the item’s cost
Accordingly, you will either pay a total of 4 installments (initial 25% deposit + remaining 75% in increments of 3) or a total of 2 installments (initial 50% deposit + remaining 50%).
I will not charge you interest.

✶ Once I receive your deposit, I will remove the item from this website for 5 weeks.

✶ I accept deposits and installments via Venmo, Paypal, CashApp, and Zelle.

✶ All items must be paid for within 5 weeks. We can talk 1x1 to determine the payment cadence.

✶ If you would like to reserve more than one item at a time, let’s chat!

✶ I would prefer not to hound you for payment. It’s an ugly feeling, and a lot to keep track of. I’m flexible and I welcome communication - let’s chat if circumstances change. If you’re unable to uphold your end of the deal within the payment cadence we’ve outlined and I’ve had to reach out to you multiple times, I reserve the right to refund your payments made up to that date, and to relist the item. This will affect my ability to reserve items for you in the future.

✶ You will receive the items upon completing the final payment, at which point I will either ship it within 2-4 business days (standard costs apply), or we can arrange for local pickup.

  • WHEN DO YOU UPLOAD NEW ITEMS?

I will be doing my best to announce new jewelry drops once a month or so. I’ll make posts and stories on Instagram well ahead of time and leading up to the drop date/s, so be sure to follow me on Instagram for the latest updates on jewelry drops, exclusive discounts & more.

I will also post announcements and reminders on this site as well!

  • REPAIRS & ADJUSTMENTS

Repairs: with your jewelry purchase comes my pledge to repair it, if ever you need (if and for as long as I am able). If something is beyond repair, we can discuss a full replacement, or replacement components at a discount, depending on the damage.

If a piece you purchased from me was damaged in some way, let me know ASAP via my Contact Page or via Instagram, and we will work something out.

Adjustments: I’m always happy to add length to necklaces if needed, with little to no extra cost, depending on the adjustment.

Earrings are more of a case by case basis. Please talk to me if non-hypoallergenic parts are an issue.
